Qualifying at a Magic Circle firm, Andrew has spent time working in banks and the commerce industry which has given him an insight into the everyday challenges faced by companies in all stages of their growth and development. Andrew is a specialist in corporate and project finance. Andrew has worked on mergers, demergers and acquisitions of varying sizes, acting for either the buyer or the seller. Andrew has also assisted banks, private lenders and financial institutions with their facility documentation, including advising on and drafting their facility documents.
Most of Andrew’s career has been working on international infrastructure projects particularly in Africa; a water treatment plant in Sudan, a floating storage and LNG regassification unit in Benin, an undersea gas pipeline between Ghana and Nigeria, a rail tunnel under the English Channel and palm oil plantations in Indonesia to name but a few.
All of these projects have been financed with the World Bank and other multilateral and bilateral development finance institutions whose working practices he knows very well. He has also worked with the equity providers arranging credit enhancement for off takers and the taking of security over project assets and with EPC contractors to ensure their contracts are bankable.

Most recently Andrew has acted on a demerger of a large property business, a multi-million pound acquisition and review of facility agreements for a private lending institution.
As well as providing legal advice, Andrew also runs a corporate finance boutique advisory business providing strategic, structuring and negotiating advice and support to corporate clients involved in M & A transactions including financial due diligence and company valuations.

He has also established, run and sold his own businesses which brings him a special understanding of the issues faced by entrepreneurs at all stages of the development of their businesses.
