He specialises in cross-border transactions, dispute resolution, and corporate governance, with particular expertise in multi-jurisdictional projects. Francesco is also an Italian-qualified lawyer and fluent in both English and Italian. He is recognised for his commercial acumen and dedication to client service.
Francesco is a senior company commercial lawyer who, before joining as a Founder Partner of Kingsley Wood, has been practising law in the City of London for nearly 20 years.
Francesco’s combination of extensive experience in a wide range of domestic and cross-border company, commercial, dispute resolution and employment work, allows him to take a multidisciplinary and flexible approach to his clients’ legal needs and problem-solving.
Francesco has a particular expertise in dealing with multi-jurisdictional projects and overseas stakeholders, which has enabled him to develop an established multidisciplinary practice. Francesco advised, over the years, a variety of corporates, businesses, individuals, and local authorities across a breadth of industry sectors including renewable energy, financial services, engineering, life sciences, food and beverage, aviation services and recruitment.
He also focuses on start-up companies, whilst advising on day-to-day corporate governance and shareholders’ agreements.
Representing an Italian public authority (a Region) in five claims issued before the High Court by various international banks in connection with swaps transactions with a cumulative value in the hundreds of millions.
Advising an Italian company on the acquisition of a UK airport ground-handling services company from a consortium of petrol companies.
Advising a UK based developer of renewable energy projects on a multi-jurisdictional framework services agreement for the development of PV projects in the UK, Italy, and Spain with cumulative capacity in excess of 500MWh.
Advising regularly on settlement agreements between employers and employees.
Advising various developers of renewable energy on the disposal of several solar and battery storage projects in England.
Advising a food and beverage corporate multinational group on the re-organisation of their UK subsidiaries.
Advising on the setting up of a telemedicine company start-up, including advising on and implementing a growth-shares structure and on the consultancy agreements with the radiologists.
Advising a syndicate of Italian institutional lenders in connection with UK security for a £12 million facility agreement.
Acting for an executive on a £500k+ claim against his employer, a world-leading credit rating agency.
Advising regularly on the service of overseas judicial documents in England and Wales and enforcement of overseas judgments in England and Wales.
Francesco is fluent in Italian. Francesco is recognised for his commercial acumen, negotiation skills, hands-on approach, and dedication to excellent client service.
