Vikas is a Solicitor-Advocate specialising in Civil Litigation and Employment Law. He has conducted case management across a plethora of cases ranging from less complicated debt recovery matters to cases ending up in the High Court which are complex and high value.

Vikas is a Solicitor-Advocate and can, therefore, represent his clients at the higher courts in England & Wales.


With many Employment Tribunal matters behind him, Vikas has successfully represented clients, both applicants and respondents at Tribunal level. He frequently works on settlement agreements and helps to negotiate a good and positive outcomes for the client.


Vikas has been working in the legal industry for over 8 years initially as a paralegal and then working his way to a Solicitor-Advocate.










Recent Matters

my work

Vikas has recently worked as an advocate at the High Court, RCJ on a complex committal matter, arising from civil proceedings.


He demonstrated through his submissions a confident and concise understanding of the relevant law and received praise from the Judge in persuading the Judge not to commit Vikas’s client to prison.


In other matters, Vikas successfully obtained an interim injunction against an opponent to protect his client from harassment and has worked on several landlord/tenant matters.


He often does his own advocacy, both at County Court and High Court levels.


He is keen to represent his clients in mediation and is shortly due to attend a negotiation course where he will learn pivotal negotiation skills.

Interest

about me

Outside of work, Vikas is an avid fiction reader and also enjoys exercising at the gym, exploring new sports and endurance activities such as mountain climbing. He wishes to take part in charity events that involve sports challenges to raise money for the charities most close to him.


Vikas studied a double award degree which consisted of a year in France, studying at a French University – Vikas studied aspects of the French Civil legal system. As part of this, Vikas was required to write his dissertation on a legal topic in French and use the French legal language.


For this, Vikas travelled to Brussels and obtained a pass to study in the official library of the European Commission. Vikas' chosen topic was Immigration and Asylum policy affecting the EU. After his degree, Vikas attended the College of Law and following this, Vikas began his legal career in some smaller firms, learning the art of legal practice as a paralegal.

Prior to joining Kingsley Wood, Vikas has worked for two top tier investment banks, including Goldman Sachs, and a stint at a Magic Circle Law firm. He then went on to work for a boutique law firm before joining Taylor Rose and then Kingsley Wood.
